Ingredients:

• 1/2 Cup Shortening
• 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
• 1 Large Egg
• 1 Teaspoon Vanilla
• 1 Cup Flour
• 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
• 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
• 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions:

1. Cream together shortening and brown sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla.
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt.
3. Gradually blend in creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
4. Spoon into small balls with spoon (size of a meatball)
5. Bake at 375'F for 10-12 minutes (350'F for 10.5 minutes for convection ovens)
